 AMAZING T--REX

TYRANNOSAURUS REX OR T- REX LIVED IN WESTERN NORTH AMERICA. AT THAT TIME, THIS CONTINENT WAS KNOWN AS LARIMIDIA. THE T- REX LIVED DURING THE CRETACEOUS PERIOD, BETWEEN 85-66 MILLION YEARS AGO. THE T- REX IS BELIEVED TO BE ONE OF THE LAST NON- FLYING DINOSAURS.

IT WAS A VERY LARGE PREDATOR. ITS LENGTH REACHED NEARLY 40 FEET AND HEIGHT 13 FEET AT THE HIPS. THE T- REX WEIGHED FOUR TO SEVEN TONS. BASED ON THE STUDY OF FOSSILS, SCIENTISTS SAY THAT THE T- REX HAD A MASSIVE SKULL AND A LONG, HEAVY TAIL TO SUPPORT ITS BODY WEIGHT. THE ARMS WERE PROPORTIONALLY VERY SMALL BUT POWERFUL. THE HIND LEGS WERE LONG AND POWERFUL. THE T- REX IS BELIEVED TO HAVE POSSESSED THE MOST POWERFUL BITE OF ANY LAND ANIMAL THAT EVER LIVED ON EARTH. ACCORDING TO SCIENTISTS, THE BITE OF A T- REX WAS THREE AND A HALF TIMES MORE POWERFUL THAN THAT OF A GREAT WHITE SHARK AND FIFTEEN TIMES MORE POWERFUL THAN THE BITE OF AN AFRICAN LION.

SCIENTISTS ALSO BELIEVED THAT T- REX HAD FEATHERS ON ITS BODY BUT THEY COVERED ITS BODY ONLY PARTIALLY . HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOT SURE WHETHER THE T- REX WAS COLD - BLOODED OR WARM - BLOODED. THE BIG HEAD OF THE T- REX SUPPORTED A JAW THAT WAS AT LEAST FOUR FEET THICK AND CONTAINED 50- 60 TEETH. SOME THEETH WERE UPTO 9 INCHES LONG. IT USED ITS POWERFUL TEETH TO EXTRACT FLESH FROM ITS PREY AND TO CUT IT UP IN ITS MOUTH. AN ADULT T- REX COULD EAT OVER 500 POUNDS OF MEAT AND BONE IN A SINGLR BITE. THE TYRANNOSAURUS HAD A VERY KEEN SENSE OF SMELL.

IN 1990, FOSSIL HUNTER SUE HENDRICKSON FOUND A NEARLY 85 PERCENT COMPLETE FOSSIL OF TYRANNOSAURUS REX . IT WAS ACQUIRED BY THE FIELD MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY FOR 8 MILLION DOLLARS. THE MUSEUM SPENT YEARS REMOVING ROCK FROM THE BONES. THE T- REX WAS INDEED AN AMAZING CREATURE!

Speech on Cleanliness

Terminal trend
    Speech on Cleanliness
Good morning Principal ma'am, the     teaching staff and my dear
students. today I shall give a
speech on the topic "Cleanliness". I
   have especially selected this topic
   because this has much importance
in our daily lives. Actually, what
   cleanliness means is the absence
of dirt, dust and filth, bad smells at
   home, working places or
   surroundings areas. The most
   important purpose of maintaining
Cleanliness is to be healthy, look
   beautiful and smart, remove dirty
odour as well as avoid the spread
of dirt and contaminants. We clean
our teeth, clothes, body, hair on a daily basis. These are done in order to stay fresh. We use a variety of products and clean water to clean different things accordingly. What we see with our eyes is that, cleaning also gets rid of harmful micro- organisms ( like bacteria, virus, fungus, algae, etc.) from things. It keeps us healthy and protected from a variety of diseases specially caused by harmful micro- organisms. In some industrial processes, it requires exceptional cleanliness which is achieved by keeping rooms spotlessly clean. The presence of dirt, filth and bad odour can decrease the power of our immune system.
Commonly, there are two types of cleanliness. One is physical cleanliness and the other is internal cleanliness. Physical cleanliness keeps us clean from the outside and gives us a feeling of a healthy wellbeing with confidence. However, internal cleanliness keeps us mentally peaceful and away from stress and anxiety. Internal cleanliness means a mind that is absent of dirty, bad and negative thoughts. Keeping the heart, mind and body clean and peaceful means complete cleanliness. However, we also need to keep our surrounding areas clean so that we can live in a healthy and clean environment. It will keep away epidemic diseases and give us the feeling of a social wellbeing.
There is a very old saying that "Cleanliness is next to godliness".
Cleanliness should be given top priority from childhood, so that it becomes a good habit and can be beneficial throughout life. It can benefit the family, the society as well as the country. I as a young student request all present here to practice this habit everyday.

Short speech on Teachers day

Terminal trend
Short speech on Teachers Day  A very good morning to our          principal sir, respected teachers and to all students gathered here. We are
all assembled here to celebrate an
occasion called 'Teachers' Day'.
Today is the 5th of September and is
celebrated as Teachers' Day in all
schools, colleges and academic
institutes. It is to pay honour to teachers for their valuable contribution to society and to the country. Teachers not only impart their knowledge but also held to shape the career of students. The celebration of Teachers Day has been a popular event in our country. It was started after the request of students to Dr.Sarvallipalli Radha-
Krishanan.
5th of September is the birth anniversary of Dr. Radhakrishanan which is marked as Teachers' Day because Dr.Radhakrishanan too was at first a teacher by profession. students honour their teachers for their selfless efforts in enriching the education system in our country.
Some students celebrate this event in their own way by presenting their teachers with flowers, hand-made cards, small hand- made gifts, e-greeting cards, through SMS, messages, etc to respect and admire the contribution towards the students' lives.
Our teachers never consider us less than their own children and so teach from their hearts even beyond the prescribed syllabus about life. Since we are too young, we need inspiration and encouragement which we surely get from our teachers. They prepare us to tackle any bad situation of life through knowledge and patience.
Dear teachers, we are really grateful to each of you and will remain indebted to you forever.

Thank you.
